Meet The Team Getting You Your Phix - Lead Phixer Cole

This is the last in the introductory blogs for the fabulous first four Phix employees. This last addition to the team is Cole - another Lead Phixer.

A midwest native, born and raised in Michigan, Cole (She/Her/They/Them) has always been an individual of diverse interests. With a deep passion for music, animals, medicine, and the unique art of taxidermy. Cole has cultivated a life that intertwines these elements in a harmonious balance. Her fascination with the melodies and rhythms of the world inspired her to participate in her high school’s musicals all 4 years of her schooling, as well as in the jazz choir. Though she never pursued a career in music, Cole finds enjoyment in the little things, like singing off key in her car.

From an early age, Cole was drawn to the natural world, finding companionship and understanding in the company of animals. This affinity led her to the field of veterinary medicine, where she sought to deepen her understanding of life's complexities. Her professional path in medicine allowed her to witness the fragility of life firsthand, fostering a profound respect for all living beings. Alongside her medical pursuits, Cole developed a unique interest in taxidermy, viewing it as a respectful way to preserve the beauty and memory of animals after death. Her approach to taxidermy is deeply ethical and artistic, striving to honor the essence of the creatures she works with.

Cole's life is a testament to the idea that our passions can guide us to unexpected places. Cole's journey into the world of cannabis began at a pivotal moment in her life, marked by the profound loss of her mother in 2021. This period of mourning brought about unexpected changes, leading her to discover a newfound appreciation and love for cannabis. This wasn't just about finding solace in its use; Cole saw potential in the burgeoning cannabis industry, a realm filled with opportunities for growth, healing, and innovation. Her excitement to explore this avenue of work was not just about building a career but also about embarking on a personal journey of discovery and healing.

As Cole delved deeper into the cannabis industry, with the help of her team at Phix Decatur, she was fascinated by the versatility and benefits of the plant. From medicinal to recreational uses, the industry offers a broad spectrum of possibilities that align with her interests and values. She was eager to learn everything she could, from cultivation techniques to the science behind the effects of cannabis on the endocannabinoid system in the body. Cole's enthusiasm is fueled by the idea of working in a field that not only promised professional growth but also has the potential to make a positive impact on people's lives.

When Cole isn't busy being a Phenomenal Phixer she spends her days with her 8 pets (4 dogs, three cats, and a 8 year old Ball Python named Hisstopher Walken), her partner, or her second family at the Veterinary ER hospital she does relief work at. Cole is elated to join the team and help in the pursuit of education on cannabis.
